If you have to choose between fat free or sugar free, which do you choose?

If I had to choose, I would stick with sugar free...but it depends on what that sugar free item is, maybe I wouldn't eat it at all. I do not believe that fat is the enemy, but sugar is...

Sugar free- every time.  Sugar spikes cravings and hunger like mad- fat does not, and instead tends to be more satiating.

Neither one - the food is probably full of chemicals to replace the fat and the sugar.  I'd try to eat real food that wasn't processed.

It helps to know which food we are speaking of, but 99 times out of 100, sugar free. Sugar is what spikes your insulin and makes you crave more sugary/carby foods. Fat is necessary for us on our calorie restricted diets and it keeps us feeling full for longer.

We need fat, but we don't need sugar, so sugar for sure.  I agree with others, though, most often I have neither.  I use a tiny amount of truvia in my tea, and have sugar free popsicles sometimes, but generally just avoid sweets of the real or artificial variety.

Sugar free! Hands down.

Nothing wrong with fat. We need it. Now I still think you ought to be eating lean and green, but healthy fat is perfectly fine.

Sugar on the other hand..... not so good. No such thing as essential carbohydrates! You can live without the sugar just fine.

Neither.  Whatever it's lacking, they'll replace it with the other.  I prefer to eat unprocessed foods as much as possible.
