Probably no****er is one of the things that empties through the pyloric valve rather quickly. I mean if you forced yourself to swallow 12 oz in one shot you might feel it, but I think you would vomit before any stretching occurred with liquid.

OMG, I'm 10 days out and I STILL keep forgetting. I'll take a normal size gulp of water and then... uh-oh, here comes that tight feeling.

I am 14 months out and can drink normally now since about six months I would say. I am still carefull not to chug anything. And you don't have a pouch. You have a normal fully functioning stomach, just small.

No.  Very common question.  I bugged the surgeon about it a lot (was worried like everyone else).  He clearly said no inspire of my bugging him multiple times.

I've been able to drink pretty much normally since day 3 of surgery.  I freaked out and called my Surgeon in a panic when I realized that I wasn't having a problem with fluids like so many do.  He was great (only chuckled a little bit) and told me that I was one of the lucky ones and to enjoy it.  And that no, I could not stretch my sleeve by drinking my fluids.  mail
