Bariatric Times App on Iphone
Wow! I downloaded this free app last night and was reading about all the different bariatric surgeries and how doctors believe that the Gastric Sleeve is going to become the gold standard and takeover bypass. They were also commenting on how DS is pretty much on its way out the door since it can cause so many complications. This just made up my mind! If you guys have an iphone/ipad I'd download these and read up...it's so educational. If you have any questions on terminology let me know...I am a pre-nursing student and have taken quite a bit of terminology lol
My Surgeon from Boston said the same thing...The Sleeve will become the Gold Standard. Our Hospital is considered a Center for Excellence in Weight Loss and is affiliated with Harvard Medical School. I had the Sleeve on 12/31/13 and so far recovery has been wonderful. Happy I was fortunate to be approved for such an amazing cutting edge procedure.
