Ugh. No more pain meds for me

I got soooo sick this morning after taking my pain med. I never threw up but I had terrible vertigo and a migraine for 4hrs. Bleah. Too sick to drink, too sick to take nausea medicine. Just hideously miserable. Now I'm trying to catch up my fluids, but I'm stillso hungover that its difficult. No protein for me tonight and no vits! Just clear liquids until tomorrow.

I am sorry that you have had such troubles. I think your plan is right. Stop the pain killers and stick with focusing on being hydrated. I am sure you will start to feel better even with doing that. I am sure you will be back on track in no time! Feel better! 

They put me on a morphine pump.  I had seen my DD and DS go thru getting sick and it being from the pain meds.  When I pushed the button a few times and realized it was making me sick, I stopped.  They took it down the next morning and threw it out.  I only had the oral med just before the drive home and the first three nights.  Other than that I didn't need anything.

Just curious what your anti-nausea meds are.  Zofran causes migraines for me, so although I agree with getting off your pain meds, it might be another med to blame!

I was on Zofran. I had been taking it for several days with no problems. The migraine came on within 20 min of the pain med, so I'm pretty sure that's the culprit.

I haven't had anything for pain since yesterday. I need to get some Tylenol in the house--the muscles in my neck are sore and i have a mild headache.
