Way to work that sleeve!

I want to ask you a few things because I know that there are those who are newly sleeved or days away from surgery who may benefit from your observations:

In the 17 weeks you have been sleeved and lost an astounding 115lbs

1) Did you eat rice, potatoes, crackers, chips, cookies, cake, bread, cereal or other carbs that had a low protein content? Were you even tempted?

2) Do you believe that you were deprived at all?

3) Did you drink more than 64oz of water and if not how much did you consume daily?

4) Would the advice of "everything in moderation" have helped you lose that 115 in 17 weeks?

And lastly

HOW EXCITING WAS IT THAT YOUR SCALE SHOWED YOU LOST 115 POUNDS IN 17 WEEKS?

Not the original poster here, but I kind of feel like playing the game.....

(1) I have not touched or eaten any of the listed items except for: 2-3 ritz crackers a day (goes with the cheese I have), and 2 SMALL bites of cake on my son's birthday AFTER I achieved goal.

(2) No.  The VSG does it's job as long as I follow the eating plan and drink my water.

(3) I usually get close to 150 ounces a day.

(4) Heck no.  Do what you want, but for the loss phase I followed a strict plan.  It left me wanting for nothing, but has been much the same day in and day out.  Results are what mattered, and I will not be a slave to food any longer.  Food will serve me, not the other way around.

Thanks all, i actually do eat some carbs, but only at about half way through my journey, my workouts are very intense and i believe i need some carbs, however for the most part I eat high protein for two to three days then carbs for a day then repeat, I haven't felt very deprived, sometimes I miss my old friend pizza and soda then I think about how good I look and feel, I drink a ton of water, crystal light, isopure protein shakes with skim milk.

Way to go!  I am 20 weeks out and down 95 pounds.  I am not quite as dedicated as you to working out (knee injury), but I am thrilled with my results and how great I feel.  Keep  up the good work!
