What part of the wal-mart grocery store is it located ?  Is it in the oriental food isle or pasta isle?

I've seen them in the "chilled" section with tofu, etc. Usually in produce.

in produce ,

I never noticed the smell, I dump them in a strainer and rinse them well then throw them in a Wok  will olive oil pam , and some garlic and veggies , shrimp

or with garlic and spaghetti sauce and Parmesan cheese

I like the texture ,like over cooked pasta

I like spaghetti squash when it is in season , I get them fresh from the local farms but the supermarket rip you off when there out of season
