Note to self: Don't miss meals!

Seriously. Don't miss meals. Missed meals = trouble on the horizon.

I unintentionally did today because I had a bunch of errands to run. I had planned to eat some leftover sirloin steak in the form of a "taco" using some uber low net carb tortillas that I found the other day*. Little did I know, someone else in the house had already eaten the leftover sirloin, leaving the fridge devoid of prepared meat. I grabbed a protein bar (Just discovered "PowerCrunch" and yum) that I had planned to use as my snack and headed out on my errands.

Well, before dinner rolled around, I ate another snack of about 1.5 oz of smoked sausage and a bit of mozzerella cheese. I THOUGHT I'd curbed my appetite, but NOPE. WRONG. At dinner, I was so hungry that I wolfed down my meal (baked bbq chicken that I melted some cheese over and ate with a bit of sour cream - the way I used to eat a bbq baked potato... minus the potato). I ate so fast that I ran headfirst into the foamies! I haven't expereince this sort of discomfort in MONTHS. It seriously took almost a full hour for the nausea and mouth watering to subside :(

Even at 7 months out, I still have to be reminded to SLOW. DOWN. This journey is a constant learning curve... I'm actually kind of glad that is the case. I hope it sticks around so that I cannot go back to my pre op lifestyle of inhaling my food. I didn't OVEReat tonight (I did measure everything out), which I am more than greatful for as I know the foamies would have turned into the VOMITies!

Have a lovely evening, VSGers. Beware and avoid the foamies!

Tortilla: "Mission" brand's "Carb Balance" tortilla: 32 carbs minus 26 g fiber = 6 net carbs each... and I only use half of one since they are so big, so BOOM. 3 net carbs!

Hi Chrissy,

I also have to be very careful to et all my meals and have my meals on time, or I get super-hungry as well.  Then I eat too fast, or my usual-sized meal doesn't satisfy me, or I find I am hungry all day.  In any case, it makes it very unpleasant.

Best of luck,

Carol
