How crucial is water in WL mode?

I am trying hard to get these last few lbs off.  I know my water consumption is not good.  Could this be keeping me from losing?  I am committed to getting at least 80 oz today and have even made a schedule.  I am a dork.

Any thoughts on how importan****er is to weight loss?

Extremely!  I know that I am struggling with getting these last few pounds off and it is all due to my not getting enough liquids in each day.  I feel sick when I drink a lot.  I know there are things I can do to make it better but until I actually do them and make them a habit I am going to struggle.  This is all MY FAULT!  I have the eating down, I just have always struggled with the liquids.  Until I change my mindset, I am stuck.  No one else to blame but myself.  Water is a problem for me so I have started drinking ICE sparkling water (after it sets in a cup for a while) and that has seemed to help me get more liquid in each day but I need to get a lot more.

(DISCLAIMER:  This is just my story and NOT a comment that you are doing anything wrong.)

Congratulations on your progress thus far!

I think it is the difference maker, on days that I can get in 100 oz of water , not coffee, not tea but actual H2O, I can tell a difference the next day. I feel skinnier, I actually can feel the difference in my abdomen area.  My jeans fit better,  skin feels better everything feels better.  It seems silly but the more water you drink the less fluid you retain.  But it is tough to get all that fluid in, I have a 32 oz water bottle that I have  4 rubber bands around it to remind me to drink four of them a day.  I take a band off after I finish each bottle I try to get them in before I leave my office.

Congratulations on being so close to goal. You have the same start weight as me, may I ask when you had your surgery?    Good Luck -Deb

I had surgery 4/10/12 - so I am coming up on 2 years.  I have maintained this for about a year now.

Thanks for the feedback!

Love the rubber band idea! I'm just OCD enough that I'll have to try that!
