Protein shakes

Just curious, I'm not there yet. When you start on your protein shakes after surgery, how much do you make at one time? Do you divide it into smaller containers? Freeze the extra?

Hey!

I make my shakes with 8 ounces of almond milk and for the first two weeks post-op I'd make my "morning" shake in the larger size of Blender Bottle as a double shake - so 16 ounces almond milk and 2 scoops protein powder.  I'd just sip at it until I finished.  Then I made my "evening" shake in the smaller Blender Bottle with 8 ounces almond milk and 1 scoop of protein powder.

They're simple enough to make that making them just before I want them is super easy.

I just got home from the hospital last night from my Monday sleeve, so I've had an Optima shake that I brought home from the hospital and an Atkins shake.  Both I've sipped slowly over 2 hours.

My shaker is in the dishwasher, but I expect I'll be making shakes with 1 scoop powder, 8 oz almond milk and slowly sipping.  If I make a larger batch, I'll probably drink half, put the rest in the fridge and switch to Gatorade/water in between.

I haven't had surgery yet but I have been trying out shakes.  I tried the syntrax shakes, the lemonade and the cherry one and for some reason they taste better when I leave them in the fridge overnight
