Infection?
I am 3 weeks out from surgery today. Yesterday I noticed a red pimple looking thing on my lower abdomen( not near where my incisions were) today it is about 1/2 an inch and a blister looking thing that is red about 2 inches out has anyone else had something like this? It is painful and warm to the touch I have an appointment with my PCP tomorrow but just wondering what it could be anyone have an idea?
It doesn't sound surgery related, although I'm wondering if they shaved your lower abdomen before surgery and maybe an ingrown hair? They pump you with a crap ton of antibiotics during surgery and the hospital stay so I'm not sure if that would be the answer. Maybe it's a boil? Google image boil and see if it's similar to what you have. They tend to grow quickly and are tender to the touch..early out they don't have a whitehead.
Sorry..sounds painful
