I'm pretty new at this, but I'm trying to learn to follow what my body is telling me.  Share with me what full actually feels like to you?  Is it supposed to feel like tightening in my upper right chest?  I've got to learn to guage this.

Thanks All

Full is uncomfortable. I'm trying to learn to undereat my sleeve, meaning I don't feel full. 2 or 3 bites max.

Just got done posting this on another person's thread but I'll say it again:  you won't be able to gauge "full" so soon out.  If you are burping, hiccuping or have a runny nose then you overdid it.  All the nerves in your stomach were cut so you won't be able to feel "full" for quite some time...and until you start eating dense protein.

Measure out what your doctor said you could eat, probably no more than 1-2 oz. of protein right now or a couple tablespoons of mushies...and then stop eating!  You don't want to overdo it at this point.  Eat measured portions on a schedule and eventually you'll get familiar with that feeling.

However, do a search on here for Frisco's post of "undereating your sleeve" - education and informative!  You don't want to be eating until you're full, you want to shoot for just under that level.

My NUT told me I'd feel it in my chest.  And I do.  It's an uncomfortable situation, to be sure.  And, thanks to conditioning, I find myself eating less than I can/should because I want to avoid it.

(I'm on purees right now.  I had zero problems with two ounces per meal, then I tried to go up to three and my body hasn't been really happy about that, so I'm back to 2-2.5.)

I can eat two oz of most things. Ground beef I'm a little better at one and a half ounces. My plan is to keep weighing my food until I can judge two oz with my eyes shut. I plan to set my mind to under eating my sleeve as Frisco says.

I think I should do the same. Start using my scale.

Thanks

I eat two ounces and then stop even if I am not full.  Within 10 minutes or so of stopping, I have a full feeling.
