It's literally foam- it comes from eating too fast or too much at once.  It is a back up from your stomach- esophagus- mouth.  Once it happens to you , you won't forget it.  It is not harmful- just a reminder to be cautious.

Also known as the slimies, it's what can happen when you eat too much too fast, or don't chew well enough, or if the texture of the food is too hard for your stomach to handle.  I get it if I eat more than one or two raw baby carrots.  I feel like there's a rock in my stomach.  Then I get hot and cold and sick to my stomach.  Then I start to produce saliva at a VERY rapid pace.  It's almost like throwing up, only it's just coming from your mouth and not your stomach.  At least that's what it is for me.
