Good Morning, Had VSG Feb 5, 2014, today 8 weeks post-op, I'm down 51 pounds, feeling good, eating soft foods, walking and working on getting the next 49 pounds off to reach my goal of 150 pounds. I'm a single dad with a 14 y/o daughter, that I enjoy cooking for every day, some of the things I make, I just want to seat next to my daughter and start eating everything on the table, but I know that can not happen. I seat and eat my planned meals and I'm okay after that. I walk about two miles a day, sometimes more, drink my water and still drink shakes and take my vitamins. The thing with me is that I don't feel hungry, so I have to set my timer to know when to eat. 30 mins before and 30 mins after to drink is no problem for me, I've got that down to a tee. I wish all my loser friends on OH the best each and everyday. We can do this, stay on track.

God Bless

Great job!!! I am so jealous that you are not hungry.  I'm hungry quite often and I know it isn't head hunger because it will happen even if I am completely focused and involved in something (no boredom, emotions, etc). I hope it goes away when I get onto normal foods

keep it up. You are doing great!

What is your secret to not feeling hungry.  I follow the rules and I am hungry a lot.  I just ate one meatball, some eggplant and a piece of sausage.  I was stuffed 10-minutes ago and now I am hungry.  It's all I could do to keep myself from going back to the Italian store and buying some pastry (I won't, I promise), but I think about it, a lot.  I don't drink water with or after my meals, I do take a PPI, I just don't know.  I am disappointed about the hunger thing.  I thought we lost that feeling.  I am at almost four months out from surgery.
