Almost 4 months out

I am two weeks away from my four month surgiversary.  I have lost 122 lbs so far.  I am starting to see little differences in my face and body.  I keep thinking how much I have to lose and feeling scared it won't happen but at the same time I can reason out that it could happen if I keep doing what I am doing.  I just wish I could celebrate what is lost and not think about what is left to go.  Does everyone feel this way?  If you do what do you find to encourage and motivate you?

Wow!! 122 lbs is GREAT!!!  I am 33 down and struggling to see my differences.  I have about 100 to lose.  I motivate myself by 1) coming on obesity help. 2) researching vsg even though it's ready done( the sites have lots of positives to say about it and it reinforces. I made the right choice), and 3)I am making a list of the positives so far ( I fit in a pair of pants I could not before).  Sounds like you are doing great!

Congratulations on your loss!  I don't have any real advice for you other than to consider this a marathon.  I imagine if you're running 26.2 miles, at around mile 12-13 it really does start to feel insurmountable.  Just know that the finish line IS ahead, even if you can't see it yet, and keep pushing, pushing, pushing.  You will get there!

Good for you!  Goodbye to the 400s and soon you'll see 299 and say good bye to the 300.  You have accomplished twice what I have in four months!  It's a process, and when I feel discouraged I think of where I would be without the VSG.

Your goal is farther down the line than mine, but we are all in this together- and you have lost the equivalent of an adult, so be proud, be determined and be patient.  Think where you were 4 months ago and where you will be in 4 more months.

I don't need to say "you can do it" because you HAVE done it already!  Stay with us, we need to stay strong.

What an amazing job you have done so far. Keep up the good work. One day soon you are going to look in the mirror and be shocked at the changes. Congrats!!

I watched an episode of my 600 lb life the other night. It was one that covered several years of the persons life. That really brought home to me that this isn't about the honeymoon period. It's about a whole new life. Think,of yourself as a caterpillar your going through a metamorphosis. Sit back and embrace the change over to a new life
