hi all, i need advice. I'm finding the Isopure & Syntax nectar to be sickly sweet.  i really want something hot to drink but has protein in it so that I am getting my protein.  Does any one have some suggestions?

There is a Chai Tea Latte protein drink by Big Train. I don't have it in front of me right now, but it is like 20g protein, 1-2 sugars, and 120 calories. It is pretty good. Only problem is making sure the powder gets all mixed and not clumpy.  Good luck!

I have been mixing Isopure Zero Carb chocolate powder into warm milk - kind of like hot chocolate.

There is also a chicken broth protein by unjury that I have seen advertised.

Unjury chicken soup:

http://www.unjury.com/store/protein/reg/chicken_soup_flavore d_protein.shtml - definitely start with a couple of packets to see if you like it before committing to a tub. And follow the instructions regarding temperature, that is crucial!

HealthSmart hot chocolate:

http://www.nashuanutrition.com/store/hot-drinks/healthsmart- hot-chocolate-7-box-sucralose.html - yes it is sweet, but not as sweet as the cold protein shakes IMO. I like to make mine with half water, half skim milk. They also have a cappuccino that is pretty good if you add some instant coffee to it to bump up the coffee flavor. Both of these you can mix with water or milk as hot as you want as long as it isn't actually boiling.

Chicken broth (homemade is best, and very easy to do, but lo sodium canned is OK) and add V8 juice to it, hot sauce if you like spicy. good flavor, goes down easy.

I would suggest Ungery chicken soup.

Also, every night before bed I heat up Kroger carbmaster milk - 1.5 c = 17 g protein.  I add a touch of no sugar/no corn syrup vanilla extract and a sprinkle of cinnamon.  It's delicious and soothing.

Thank you everyone for the great advice!  I've found that my taste-buds have changed slightly and I just have low tolerance for sweet things - especially those heavy with artificial sweeteners. I need all the help I can find! :)
