Stamina where are you?
I am 13 days out from surgery. Generally everything is going well except I just can't seem to get my stamina back. A few minutes ago I
was rearranging some purses at the top of my closet...maybe 5 minutes . I had to sit down after to rest. Has anyone else experienced this? What's up?
I'm 4 weeks out today. For me, it seems like anything where I am raising my arms above my head is the most draining. Showers are the worst. I can do all kinds of activity without any problem but getting through a shower is rough. I have had to sit a couple of times on some days before I finished.
You are still very early out of surgery. Give it a little time. :-)
At two weeks out , I was pooped all the time. I tried to do housework and go walking, but , I had a hard time with those activities. After about 6 weeks I started noticing that my energy levels were returning to normal, and about the three month mark is when I felt as though I had not only returned to normal, but I was bursting with energy.:) I've had some struggles on and off with Orthostatic Hypotension since then, and that makes me feel tired at times, but now, at 5.5 months out, I feel like super woman.
At four weeks out I turned the corner. By 6 weeks stamina back to normal

I am 4 weeks out... and before this surgery I worked 14 hr shifts at work ... no for the past 3 weeks and for the next 4 weeks I can only work 8 HR shifts 5 times a weeks ..And let me tell you when I get home I'm beat... I couldn't even imagine working 14 hrs right now I know it would be impossible. .. good thing is its a salary job so it's kind of like a mini vacation... :-) it will get better... bit by bit... every day it's a little easier.... it's so worth it!!!
