Benadryl causing cravings

Since it's allergy season I thought id share this. I've been taking Benadryl for seasonal allergies. I've been super hungry for sugar. I could not figure it out then a friend pointed out that since it's an antihistamine it causes drowsiness and it dries you out!!! Lightbulb moment. If I feel hungry when I'm tired and thirsty it makes sense that taking Benadryl would trigger those feelings since it causes me to feel tired and thirsty

I only take my Benadryl at night and yes every night late I get hungry.
