Quote of the day... (or everything you need to know in one statement)

Saw this on a cycling website today that was commenting on nutrition/diet/training:

"If you examine the various recommendations closely, you'll see that for all of our differences, we can mostly agree on the basic principles:  Eat real food in its natural, unprocessed state; fill your plate with vegetables and fruits; include plenty of lean protein and unsaturated fat; and enjoy your food.  It's that simple."

The statement was in reference to a couple different diet options.  However, as it turns out, it's just that simple for succeeding with a VSG also.

Exactly what I am doing. I buy all my food from the outside parameter of the grocery store. No prepared foods! I find that I have no attraction to junk food! It looks like poison now.

I'm definitely a fan of the "eat real food" rule.  And the "enjoy your food" part!
