NSV--Bikini!

My husband and I are headed to Hawaii in 3 weeks. I'm 3 1/2 weeks out from plastics (lbl and ba/lift). Yesterday, I bought a bikini. I haven't worn a bikini since I was 12 or so.

I'm not 100% happy with it, but I needed a top that covered my scars (must keep them out of the sun for a year) and was having a hard time finding something. Also, apparently this year you can either wear string bottoms (no, scar!) or giant "retro" ones which look even more giant on my short self. But overall I think it's impressive I'm even willing to try this.

Still have extra skin on my legs, especially my inner thighs, but a one-piece won't help with that and I'm not willing to have anything else done. I'm almost 40. It's fine. My tummy is still a bit swollen. As a whole, though, I'm pretty happy.

I can't believe I bought a bikini! Everything about this journey is worth it--and so are you!

I think sunscreen is fine--I mean, people get plastics on their faces and go out side. I just feel like my incisions are too new for sunscreen right now.
