Do I DARE Say It?? .....GOALLLLLLL!!!
Well, My goal all along has been a "normal" BMI, which would put my weight at 174 pounds... And as of this morning:
I am here to tell you that this was accomplished using what works for me. Not with some magic soup. Not with a specific "celebrity" surgeon. Not with a specific bougie size. Not with some insane exercise regimen. Not with an obsession over carb levels... I took what I learned from these boards that worked for me and left the rest.
If you are new to this journey: FIND WHAT WORKS FOR YOU AND HANG ON TO IT WITH AN IRON FIST. Do NOT let anyone here tell you that there is only "one true way" to get to goal... The only "truth" that is necessary in getting to goal is to know yourself and how you react to foods... and to be HONEST with yourself regarding food. If you have cravings after eating carbs? Best to keep them low. If you can occasionally indulge without going off the rails? Good for you...
I got to goal occasionally eating chocolate.
Something to think about.
Suck it, Naysayers.

I love all of this! So. MUCH!
Congratulations! You know I'm happy dancing for you out here in the DFW!
Also? Every word in your post: #TRUTH. People have to do what works for THEM. As my doc told me Thursday, "What you're doing is working, so if it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
Hopefully I'll get to post one of these in the next year...still got 49 pounds to go!
Congrats again!

I love this post! I totally agree with what you said. I eat carbs, and I occasionally indulge in ice cream or a pastry at Starbucks, and guess what I have lost almost 90 pounds! I think your message is an important one to hear, not everything works the same way for everyone. Basically the only two things that are constants for everyone are protein and fluids. You have done great! Good luck!
