Is this normal? Obviously i am "under eating the sleeve" which i know is good. I am getting in plenty of protein but sometimes I find myself hungry an hour or two after surgery.  I just want to make this work!!!

I just made a similar post! I'm 4 weeks out and I'm not feeling restriction either!

I'm 6 weeks out and I too don't really feel any restriction.  Really I don't feel much different then before the sleeve. I do watch/measure everything I eat. I have started to eat regular food this week.  Kind if feel like I'm on a low carb diet. Again. But spent $14000 to be on this diet.

No issues with fluid intake or protein.

are stomach is still numb up to 3 mos. You are probably experiencing head hunger.

Totally normal.  The nerves in your stomach were severed so you can't trust anything it tells you.  This is why it's so important to measure everything :)

I would not automatically jump to head hunger. Some people are still Hungry more often....but we have to sip fluids and ignore it :). I disagree that it has to be in your head.

How much are you eating to say you feel no restriction? I don't know what you're eating at 4 weeks post op because every surgeon's plan is different. Anything of a soup or mushy consistency you will be able to eat a lot more of than say--sliced ham, beef, eggs, cheese, chicken, turkey, etc. A cup of soup or something mushy--not something I would be worried about. If you can eat more than 4-5 ounces of dense protein at 4 weeks out then I would be worried that you may have a large sleeve. Other than that, I wouldn't worry just yet. When you start eating denser foods then you will likely feel much more restriction. Good luck

I know that I can eat a whole egg with some cheese, made in to an omelet with no ill effects or feelings of fullness.  It makes me worried when I see other people saying they can't finish an egg.

Eggs are a tricky one.  Some people have issues with them, some people don't!  Clearly you're one of the lucky ones :)
