Hi Gang, I've been avoiding the website and feeling frustrated lately.  Seems like I am doing something wrong.  I mean, overall I've done something right because I've lost close to 65# but I'm having serious issues with carbs... they are just so easy to eat and digest compared to protein and vegetables... And my second issue is that I never have bowel movements.  I go through a bottle of Milk of Magnesia every 2 weeks!! This is ridiculous.   I'm keeping my calories between 800 - 1000, but wonder if I am supposed to go lower or what I should do.  And has anyone else out there run into the issue with a complete lack of bowel movements? I don't want to freak out  & cry.... advice appreciated!

Breathe, you are doing very well with your weightloss. Be sure to avoid processed carbs. I know that I am an addict and stay away!!

im two months out and stay around 800 calories, 60-70 protein and try for under 40 carbs. I've only lost 26 since surgey and 37 including the pre op.

Regarding bM business...I drink Mirlax 3-4 times a week. If I don't, hardly any action.

I guess we could have it worse, think of the positives! Keep it up!!

You amount of weight loss is awesome. You are doing great.

Carbs are hard sometimes. I too try and stay around 40gms a  day and 800 cals and 80 protein. If you are eating good carbs like fruit and veggies you are fine, but if it is the bad white things then find some way to stay away. I know it is hard, I struggle with it at times myself. I try not to keep things like that in the house. It is hard with a family to feed.

I put Miralax in my coffee every morning. It has made a really big differance. I am not regular by any means but I go more often then I was before.

I take two Dulcolax before bed.  That, plenty of water and walking 2-3 miles a day helps.
