More trips to the ER... Update male issue.

I met with the Surgeon yesterday (actually the PA) and she decided to leave in the catheter. That went against what my doc told the ER doc the other day when they spoke. She wants me to now see a specialist and who knows when I can get in to see that person. After my appointment I made a trip to the store as I needed more stuff and had to get food for the kiddo. I really over did it and when I was at the store I felt horrible when we were leaving. I didn't do any lifting just instructing.  I forgot my water bottle and had been drinking too little for several hours. When I got home the catheter bag was dry.  I just didn't feel too well and decided to go to the ER again. It was a good thing I did as they discovered an infection after a blood and urine test. I also got a bag of fluids due to being dehydrated.  Oh I forgot to mention at my doctor appointment my blood pressure was way too low. That explains why I feel kind of funny walking around. So they pulled me off my blood pressure medication.  I was also down 22 pounds since surgery 8 days ago. I was not too shocked by that as I have been on liquids for 12 days now.

Glad you're off the blood presuure meds but sorry to hear you're having such a hard time otherwise.

So sorry about your issues--really crummy. But sounds like you're getting the right care and will be recovering. Don't lose hope. These are temporary setbacks, and you'll be feeling like yourself in a few weeks!

Wow dude sorry to hear you are having some issues. I am three weeks out and have also stopped my blood pressure and diabetes meds. Your weight loss is great but man I feel for you. When I was in the hospital I remember the nurse carrying my catheter as I was walking. I told her I felt like her dog but could not mark my territory. Has great care in the hospital and seems you have a good team working for you. Best of Luck.
