Crazy Dream...
I had to share this; I'm curious if anyone else experienced this post-op! I'm six days out and just had the most vivid dream about eating steak! It was cooked medium rare, my favorite, and tasted soooooo good. I took a big bite, and while I was chewing I remembered that I'm not suppossed to be eating that yet, and was terrified something bad would happen. Oh, but it tasted soooooooooo amazing!
I had the same dreams! I dreamed I was eating pickles, steak, all kinds of crunchy chewy stuff.
In the past, when I started low carb diets, I would dream about cakes and sweets. I think when we spend all day focusing on what we're going to eat and not eat, it gets lodged in our brains and comes out as dreams.
I always wake up feeling guilty for a bit until I realize it was a dream.

The first night after I got home from the hospital I dreamed that I found three king-size Snickers bars in the house and was halfway through the second one before I remembered I shouldn't/couldn't eat that due to having surgery two days before!
Kind of funny in that I have never even been that crazy about Snickers bars. But in my dream I was eating them like it was my job. I've had a few other dreams like that, one involving finding a big table filled with platters of different kinds of cookies in a meadow somewhere. The crazy things our brains are carrying around . . .
I had a dream about Mcdonalds! I was in the drive through and there were 50 cars in the line. By the time I got to the window, they Told me The ice cream machine was broken. I flipped out, but settled for apple pies. Nope. All out. Ok, give me 2 double cheese burgers. They said , sure! But we have to cook them first, it'll take a while. I am desperate bh this time, so yes, yes I will wait!! But by this time, my driver refused to wait, so he drove off and I left with nothing! It was maddening in every possible way! I was like a rabid animal--must have cheeseburgers!!!!!
This is not the first food fantasy, either, but definitely the most vivid...my mind is playing tricks on me!
