Weightloss

I just went to my first post op visit & I'm down 16 pounds in 6days since I had the vsg done. I was wondering how much everyone else lost their first week out? 

I think I lost right at 13 or maybe 16, something in that area as well.  From what I have read on here, it seems to definitely be out of the normal range though.  Many people actually gain or stay the same at first.  

I had my surgery on the 18th and have also lost 16lbs.

I don't remember what it was after one week but I had the surgery on a Monday and I remember I had lost 11 lbs. by Thursday morning.

I lost 4.8 pounds in my first week post-op.  

I have been post op one week and have stayed the same. So 16 lbs is really good. Congrats

I lost 12 pounds my first week.. Keep up the good work!! What I did notice though is u will stall. It got me discouraged so instead try going by measurements. 

What I remember with crystal clarity was that

the first time I got on the scale a week after surgery

was not so much how much I lost...14#

but the fact that the first time stepping on that scale

I was in onederland (194)

I was so overwhelmed!!  

I lost 17 pounds my first week. I'm not a fast loser, however. There have been months even early on where I've stalled for a couple weeks and only lost 7 pounds for the whole month!
