Not constipated TMI post

It's been two weeks since surgery and for the past 3 days I've had major diarrhea, the PA who I spoke with wasn't to concerned bc I dont have a fever. did anyone experience this after surgery? It seems like posts I've seem most people have the opposite issue and are very constipated.... just hoping nothing else is wrong :-/ I see my surgeon on Friday.

Yes I do!

From everything I read, it's not that uncommon. Liquids in - liquids out. Make sure you're staying hydrated and once you're eating more substantial food things should improve.

I had it till I started solid food , I was told to, take Imodium, but check with your surgeon first before taking any drugs

Glad to know I'm not the only one. I've been on puréed food since day 3, that would still cause it?

It could definitely be a liquid in/liquid out issue. Do you happen to be taking vitamins with iron? When I started those I was taking 2 pills which was one too many. One of the side effects was diarrhea.
