Foods to eat when your stomach is upset

Hey guys :)

I'm almost a month post op (will be a month on the 29th) and today I've been having dry heaves and throwing up water. I already spoke to my doctor and he said just try to eat bland and get fluids in and if anything gets worse to call back. I was just wondering what are some foods you eat when your stomach is upset like this? I used to eat bread to try to absorb any liquid in my stomach which would always help, but bread is not something I want to introduce back into my diet.

Thanks in advance!

Try a bland soft scrambled egg.

all natural yogurt is easy on the stomach for many people and the probiotics can help with tummy problems.

chamomile tea, no cream.  Hope you are feeling better soon and try to sip those liquids.

I found a Ginger/lemon tea and that works wonders when I feel like that. That or yogurt seems to help. Good luck!..

Saltine crackers are good at soaking up excess acid and settling a sour stomach and are an old standby in the WLS business.

A prescription for sublingual Zofran has made a huge difference for me. I used to get nauseated at the drop of a hat (even pre op) and since then one dose of Zofran and I'm instantly good to go.
