I get on the scale and use Trend Weight to log my weight daily. One day I am down, the next couple days I am up and up... Iget discouraged, then on the next day I am way down.

I have a BM every 2-3 days and I notice that on the days prior to the bm is when my weight is creaping up. Afterward it goes down. Maybe I will weigh myself after the bm's.

If you think about it, that food is being stored somewhere and adding pounds, right?

I definitely weigh more on the rare morning I don't poop, but I focus on my trending weight, so those daily fluctuations don't bother me. If they bother you definitely stop weighing daily!

I only weigh myself after a BM.  That way I don't do it every day and when it happens, it should be good news.  So far so good.

During the times when I have weighed myself daily, I have always fluctuated somewhat depending on the time of day, whether I have eaten anything and how "regular" I am.  I don't weigh daily as it drove me batty.  I have always focused on trends since surgery, and my overall trend has been downward, punctuated with plateaus.

Yes, the food you eat is metabolized for normal physiologic processes, some is converted to and stored as muscle, fat and glycogen, and the rest is disposed of as waste.  If you are eating too many calories to promote weight loss, yes, the extra calories are stored as fat.

Because of this, I weigh myself on Monday mornings (weekly) after going to the bathroom and before I eat or drink.  That way, I have a consistent view of my weight as it is being measured under the same cir****tances every time.
