I am 5 weeks out as of today and I have already had 2 stalls! The first one was from week 1 to week 2 after surgery and I have had one from last wee****il this week (still going). I know stalls are common but this common? I am trying to focus on bigger picture but could sure use some solidarity. Thank you ever so!

Let me put it kindly - if you're only 5 weeks post-op and have had two "stalls"....they weren't stalls.

Come back on here and talk to us about stalls when you've done everything perfectly for at least 4-6 weeks straight and the scale hasn't moved an ounce.  That, my dear, is a stall :-)

Stalls are super common throughout the process.  This is one of the reasons I use TrendWeight since it lets me focus on my trending weight, which decreases even in those pesky stall periods.  Stick to your plan and you'll reach your goals :)

Maybe we shouldn't call them stalls...but bumps!  I'm in the same boat as you...hit the first bump 2 weeks out...lasted a week!  Got to my 3 week check-up and had only lost 2 pounds!  I'm only 5 weeks out...and finally tried Gwen's Trend Weight..great tool!  Look at the big picture and realize how little time it's actually been and how far you've already come.  Best of luck!

I can assure u this is not how weight comes off. For me, I have noticed that web I'm losing inches, the numbers on the scale don't move and when they're moving, I'm not losing inches. Yes, this happens. So I had decided to keep off scale, focus on the comments coming from people and how my clothes fit me and then hop on the scale only once a month. And as u can see it is working wonderfully for me. Ur only ONLY 5 weeks post op. stop obsessing and realize that this process will take its time. Please exercise a lot.

I just moved past a stall. I was 267-268 for about 2 1/2 weeks. Yesterday I was 266, and today I'm down to 265. Just be aware that weight comes off in jumps and that some jumps take longer than others. And like others, I've lost size even when I'm not losing weight.

I have no idea if it's actually the case or not, but I like to think that when I'm not losing weight, the fat is sort of rearranging itself. Eventually it will decide that some of it needs to go.
