I read a lot of post on here, what is the difference between a NSV and a VSG? Thanks in advance.

An NSV is a non-scale victory, for example, fitting in an airplane seat without a seatbelt extender.  A VSG is a vertical sleeve gastrectomy, the surgery most of us in this section of the forum have had where 80% of our stomachs are removed.

Yeah, I wasn't sure what NSV's were at first heh heh... Non-scale victories are really important!  They helped me out when I had a stall in my weight loss and was feeling down.  Someone on the board here suggested keeping a list of NSV's to help you when you're not feeling so great, and it's true, they really do help elevate the mood.

Gastric Sleeve on 14 July 2014.  Highest weight: 311, Pre-surgery weight 300, Current weight 210.

I get it now thanks for the information. I had the VSG so I did know what that was but wasn't sure what the NSV was. Thanks everyone for filling me in.
