Like CLOCKWORK...the stall
I think my first stall is upon me, friends. I'm 3 weeks (or 23 days) post-op and the scale has been stuck at 232 for 5. Straight. Days. I know it's going to happen. I know it will end and I'll keep losing. I know just to stick to my plan. I know I shouldn't step on the scale. I KNOW ALL THE THINGS.
This does not stop me from looking. And being frustrated.
How long does it usually last?
I recommend using Trendweight! Here is mine. It's annoying to have a week where you don't lose (although my husband, who has not had WLS and is just eating low carb and tracking his calories in MFP, has been stalled for 6 weeks so I guess that's a real stall) but it's common, not just at 3 weeks! You will catch up. You pretty much have to. My totally speculative take on it is that the body needs a breather. Especially at 3 weeks!
My week 3 stall lasted 2.5 weeks. I did a happy dance once the scale finally moved again. Once I discovered that I tend to lose inches during the stalls, I don't mind them as much.
