How are you guys doing in terms of getting back on track?

I did the 5 day pouch test and now I will follow the "south beach" diet. Not to a T but pretty close. That's the diet my dr has us follow. Also back into exercising again!

What are you doing to get back on track?

I'm back on my bike now that the weather's better than it has been. I'm also really watching what I eat -- if I have to wonder whether I should be eating it, I won't, with very few exceptions. (I had a little bit of curry udon last night and it was heaven.)

I stayed on track eating-wise 100% over Christmas but I wound up taking three weeks off my exercise program. The first two days at the gym were BRUTAL, my lungs were searing and the next day I was super sore. But I knew it would be temporary so I just kept at it and already I am feeling the benefits in the form of increased energy and improved mental health. I focus on the fact that I deserve to feel good, energetic, and healthy and that keeps me going back. I just treated myself to running shoes that are properly fitted! So excited.

Good for you! I'm impressed. It's a very hard time of year to stay on track. Congrats on the new acquisition!

No crash or fads here....just next meal, next bite, on plan.  Congrats on getting back on bike.  I've done a lot better with physical activity since the holidays, too, but it's never been my strong suit!  My biggest motivation right now is the kayak I got for Christmas.  I kayak alone and have always rented one - so I've always had someone loading and unloading it for me.  Now that I have my own, I need to be strong enough to get it on and off the top of my car!  So, kettlebell training it is.  :-)

It's all good here.  I didn't get super derailed, so it hasn't been too challenging to get back on track.

I don't know if you're trying to reply to people, but unless you hit "reply" to a specific comment the person won't get notified via email of your response so might not see it!
