Hi. My name is Kelly and I just had the sleeve done on Jan. 2. Since then I've gotten a severe cold, sore throat, and pink eye. Good times. Today, I noticed I am up a pound on the scale. Is this normal? I'm drinking the best I can and getting 60 g of protein every day. What's going on?

Day to day fluctuations.

Make sure you're getting at least 64 ounces of liquids, especially if you're sick.

Kelly - your body will react to you being sick just like it does if you go and workout really hard for the first time....it retains water.  It's a self-protective measure that our bodies do.

Don't worry about daily fluctations, especially when you're sick.  Take care and get better soon!

your body is just freaking out you just had your surgery 2 weeks ago then you sick hope you called your surgeon about all these illnesses so soon after surgery

do not weigh yourself more than once a week or you will go crazy your weight changes minite to minite

best to weigh yourself the same time evey time , best in the morning after going to the bathroom , wearing the same cloths nude is best  do not worry if you go up a lb down a lb and expect a stall in an other week or so

I would like to add a nice yellow flowered warm group brugmansia to my collection.  A lot of flowers appear more gold than pure yellow,or else they are very pale. What do our members think is the purest yellow cultivar?

Bergfee is a nice yellow and it likes cooler temps, it is a small bloom but nicely formed. It fades to a light yellow.

I saw Jamaica Yellow in a greenhouse the other weekend and it was one of the few yellows I've seen that didn't have gold tones to it.  As with most brugs though, who knows what it does when temps change.

Kathleen, I don't have any of the Brugs mentioned but every pic of Marisol looks the same, I think it's a beauty. I don't doubt that the others are too, it's just that I have watched Marisol grow up..lol

Thank you all.  Before I joined BGI I bought what was listed as "Jamaica Yellow" on ebay, but of course once it bloomed,I discovered it wasn't Jamaica yellow. Just another single gold.

I'll have to keep an eye out for Marisol.

Thanks for the kind offer Connie, I'm pm you.

Hi again Kathy,

My Shooting Star stays true yellow, but in certain temps it will turn orange. But there are no gold tones, it is a really lovely yellow.

Inca Sun also seems to stay more true yellow than many others, but sadly, I don't have it any more. Dan has it though ;)

Lol Mickey, my favorite teams are the Ducks and the Patriots. I'd love to see the super bowl with

Patriots and Seahawks, like them too. But I just love my Tom Brady!

And Florida, glad she got beat. I don't care much for any Florida teams since Don Schula retired

from the Dolphins. :)
