It is rare to need to have a sleeve redone unless it was made wrong

usually just getting back on plan will start you losing again , also have your pcp check your meds to see if they will make you gain weight

Curious about this post, what size was your sleeve originally made? My Dr is going to use a bougie fr 40 for mine.  Standard is 32-34 I think?

My Dr is using a 40 fb also. He said they used to  use a 34 but then  had a lots of patients have problems  with strictures . Since they started using a 40  they do not have that problem  anymore . I go in at 5:30 am tomorrow  morning  for my surgery

Have you considered that you need more than just eating less?  Many sleevers have revised to the DS to get to their goal.  The DS has the sleeve stomach, but adds malabsorption to kick in the metabolism to high-gear.

40 f is the larger size of normal , most surgeons use between 32f -36f it also depends on how it is made my surgeon makes a loose 32f and it works fine others have done fine with 40f and even 50f that was used in the beginning  as it was a common size for the ds and may did fine with it and never got the second half of the ds surgery

40 f is the larger size of normal and so am I :) I wanted a large one to begin with. I really wanted a bigger one than this to begin with but and have gone back and forth but Im fine with the 40.  I've watched many videos of fr size and studied all the different types loose and tight and the research and Im happy with getting a slightly larger one.

I have a large sleeve up in the 40's somewhere. I am 6'2'' also. I LOVE the size I have. I had no issues getting to goal and am maintaining nicely thus far. Easy recovery, no reflux, great tolerance (not getting sick when I eat), etc. This can happen as well with the smaller sleeves. I wouldn't change a thing!

my hubby needed a hiatal hernia repair about 6 months after sleeve.  we had our barriatric surgeon do it.  while in there surgeon noticed the upper part of sleeve had stretched some so he tightened it up.  its worked well.  diane
