Chewing Gum

I was told to give up chewing gum after surgery. I like these green tea mints from trader joes. They taste just like tea!! You can suck on em or chew. They are very tasty! 

 

Personally, I don't think chewing gum is worth it. The slight chance I could accidently swallow it will keep me away for sure.

I was told no gum or using straws for the same reason that they cause you to get more air in your stomache.

However many people have found that drinking through a straw causes them to swallow less air so actually works better.

I chew gum, no issues here.
