I just got back from a month in a VERY steep hill town in Mexico, where I have fone 4 years in a row.  This is the first time post surgery.  The difference was amazing.  I used to have special "rest stops" on uphill roads & steps I frequanted often...no more are they needed.  I bopped right up the climbs, despite my 74 years.

I had the vertical sleeve because of diabetes, sleep apnea & body shame, but this is an extra perk the extent of which I was not expecting.  It is as if I shed 30 years.  It might be difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel while struggling toward ones goal, & I think I went through most all the discouragements, but now, after 60 pounds gone, 10 to go, I am taking almost no diabetic medication, sleep apnea gone, everything functioning well, hair growing back and super energetic.  Only problem, keeping up with my needing smaller sizes all the time.  (from size 18 pants to 6 now)  Yeh
