Gym?
With my leg and foot pain, I had to stop the Treadmill, then the Elliptical , so now I have to use the Recumbent Bike. It is more boring than the Elliptical, but it gets the job done. This was all Pre-Op. I am almost two weeks out, and know I have to get back to the Gym soon. I will start out with the Recumbent Bike. I am hoping when my weight is all off that I will have less foot and leg pain and can go back to the Elliptical...time will tell. Best wishes to you. Kay :-)

I was only allowed to walk for the first 6 weeks post-op. I specifically asked about the elliptical and bike and was told no. I'd ask your doctor.
You might be better off walking short distances multiple times a day.

I was not released to do any other exercise except walking until 4 weeks post op, that including any lifting over 5 lbs. I know you are ansy now but rest while you can. There were times I felt like a million bucks and got so exhausted so quickly, just over doing it. I hated being too still so I understand. My Dr. said certainly NO elliptical because of the back and forth with the arms which moves the tummy area.
Best of luck in your recovery!
