Awesome low carb snack

I often miss having crunchy snacks. Nuts can upset my stomach and often have more carbs than I want. So I'm a big fan of crispy cheese products. Because they are made of cheese, they are more expensive, but they are very filling and a little goes a long way (although keep them away from your non-WLS husbands who might blow through $10 bucks worth of snacks at a go, ahem). Because they are just cheese, there are no mystery ingredients.

My previous favorite was the Kitchen Table Baker parmesan crisps, but sometimes I would get a stale pack. They are also the most expensive.

My NEW favorite, I am totally obsessed with, is called Moon Cheese. A 2 oz bag is $3 on Netrition. THEY ARE SO GOOD. I am officially obsessed.

The ones I've tried have been super crisp, almost buttery, with a really lovely flavor. Sort of like eating a really great version of those orange dust "cheese" puffs.

Yeah, I have done that lots. Honestly I have never been thrilled with the results although it works in a pinch. Often they come out soft, or they taste unpleasant when they brown. My husband likes homemade ones, though. I have to say I much prefer the Moon Cheese. They are a totally different texture, they are little puffed balls of cheese.

I found the Moon Cheese at a fancy grocery store but next time I'm going to order from Netrition, cause the price was a lot better.
