Getting set to start my pre-op liquid diet. Just wondering what are some favorite protein drinks?

Any tips that made it a little easier for you?

My favorite is Optimum Nutrition Double Rich Chocolate mixed with unsweetened Original Almond Milk.  I've been using the same protein powder since pre-op and I still have one shake a day, so I haven't gotten tired of it!  I find it to be less sweet than a lot of the chocolate protein powders and shakes out there, it's a darker chocolate flavor which suits me better.

The only tip I can offer is the knowledge that the first 3-4 days will suck, and then it'll get better.  So tough it out through the beginning.

I have recently been using the same protein powder as Gwen and I love it.  I have used several brands and I find this is one that I dont get tired of.  It reminds me more of chocolate milk with no residual protein  flavor.  I highly recommend it also..Good luck.. and welcome aboard..

My favorite sweet ones are Syntrax Nectar chocolate truffle and vanilla bean torte, both always mixed with skim milk.  I also really like Unjury chicken soup which must be ordered online at unjury.com.

The time will pass quickly and then you'll be starting the next part of your journey.  Good luck!

I'm boring. I like the Premier protein Vanilla from Costco. I do the chocolate too but prefer the vanilla. I haven't tried the strawberry yet.

I have been drinking a Premier chocolate shake every day for 7 months. I like it just fine and it can be warmed in the microwave for hot chocolate. I am now going try Gwen's protein concoction as it sounds yummy with the almond milk. My tip is to try keep your mind off of food any way that you can. Try turning the channel or muting (and looking away from) the tv during food commercials. (And avoid anything else that has food advertisements). Leave the room/house when someone else is cooking/eating and maybe use lysol spray or something like it to cover food odors. (I know some of my ideas are out there, but do whatever you need to do to get through this stage and do alot of research at this site to keep your eye on the prize. Just realize that this is not permanent. This short inconvenience is to help you accomplish a life changing outcome. Good luck to you!

I am on day 6 of the pre op liquid diet and after trying several brands I absolutely love the unjury strawberry sorbet mixed with Crystal Light lemonade and crushed ice. Doesn't taste at all like a protein shake it taste like a fruit smoothie.  Beverly

I'm a vicious creature of habit.  I drink a Premier Protein chocolate shake for breakfast every morning.  I buy them at Costco.  They have vanilla and strawberry cream flavors, but I keep returning to the chocolate.
