I practically lived on Sweetgreen before surgery and it's all I can think about now.  :(  (I ate there for lunch nearly every weekday.)

I cannot wait until I'm cleared for salads.

Any recommendations for a VSG post-op's first salad?  (I still have three weeks.....)

It took me six months to be able to eat raw veggies so be careful.  I think they can be a little tough on our tummies.   Now I love them and eat them all the time with a little chicken breastfeeding for protein.

You will need to avoid raw vegetables for a few months.  Digesting them can be hard on the stomach.  For the time being stick to soft salads like chicken, tuna or egg salad.  Use this time to explore your options for food variety of a soft and cooked nature that are protein forward.
