If anyone were in the least bit worried that you had cancer, you would not be kept waiting.  When my son had a dodgy blood test result, he was sent to Children's Hospital THAT day ...

Usual freak out is high liver enzymes - that won't be cancer either.  The body has its own way of dealing with the ways we assault it!

What Hala said.  Don't automatically jump to the worst possible conclusion.  Did they give you any other reason that they suspect cancer?  What ther blood work did they order?

You don't have your surgery info on your post, but if you are early post-op, your platelets could be high simply because of loss of blood during surgery.

If you are several months out from surgery, you could be anemic or have a B12 deficiency, both of which can cause a high platelet count.

Don't borrow trouble.
