I'm confused. Bought some Quest bars. On the front it says 4G net carbs but in the back it says 20G total carbs. Might be a stupid question but could someone explain the difference?

I didn't use Quest bars until I was less than 20 pounds from my surgeon's goal. That being said, I count the full carb amount and keep my carbs under 45 grams per day. One school of thought is that the fiber counterbalances some of the carbs. My body didn't go to that school.

The idea is that carbs from fiber don't have to be counted because the body does not absorb them. So it is 20 carbs, but only 4 of them are carbs that the body can absorb.
