Powdered vitamins at Costco

my husband and I went to Costco today.  I got some Premier Protein shakes to try.  They only had vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry to choose from so I got chocolate.  At any rate, I noticed they had these powdered vitamins you mix in water there.  Has anyone tried these?  Are they any good, particularly after surgery?

I can't imagine any kind of crushed pills tasting good.  I say thank god for gummies

Do you mean Zipfizz or Ecodrink? Or is there some other brand you saw?

I have had them both but don't know if they are any good after surgery as I am pre-op. If you don't get a reply from a post-op that has used them, I have two sisters who are several years post-op that I can ask.

Some (possibly all) Zipfizz has caffeine but it tastes pretty good. I imagine you'd have to let it go flat before drinking it since it is, as the name suggests, fizzy.

Ecodrink kind of tastes slightly icky unless you drink it very cold and is on the fizzy side also.

If there is another brand you saw, I'd be interested in what it is.

I was referring to the ecodrink ones.  Thanks for the info.

I've had the ecodrink from Costco and wasn't fond of it. After trying the celebrate vits I have to say I appreciate that brand very much. Also, from what I understand, we're not supposed to have gummies because they are not as quality as they advertise and because they could lodge in the stomach?

gummies would melt before they would lodge in the stomach.

Good to know.  I won't waste my money trying them.  I've never heard of Celebrate vitamins.  Where do you get those?

You can get celebrate vitamins on their website at celebratevitamins.coM. its a great choice for bariatric patients.

My Doc and Dietitian won't allow me to take Gummies.  They are missing essential minerals and antioxidants.  They told me to get a good Bariatric chewable either from them or online.  I found the Bariatric Advantage website and ordered the ones specifically made for VSG.  They have others to for Lap-band, RNY, DS, etc.  They are a little pricey, but I figure that I am working very hard to get healthy, so I am worth it.  They have very good chewable calcium and other necessities too.

I couldn't stand the taste or grainy textures of the BA chewables, but everyone is different.  I switched to Celebrate and love them.
