HI all. I am really struggling with this hair loss.  I know it's normal,  and it will stop,  and I have already Googled tele whatever but I'm depressed. Everytime I wa**** I pull out chunks. Has anyone used rogaine or nioxin? Do they help at all? I am desperate

I was horrified that I was losing so much hair. I can say give it 6 mo. it will get better. use a scalp treatment... I used OGX caffeine and niacin3 shampoo/condition/and scalp treatment. hair is starting to re grow. im 7 mo out +/-

Thanks for the info on the shampoo/conditioner...  I have not yet had my surgery but have a problem with a lot of hair coming out now so I am really scared about when this moment happens during my recovery.   Do you think it would help to start using this now..  Before the fallout period starts??

I don't think itll hurt. add biotin in there too. I take 10,000 mcg biotin daily

Have you tried Biotin?  Biotin seems to help alot with hair loss. Take Biotin and also take Collagen. the combination of both will help ease the hair loss.

Are you hitting your protein goals? I had no hair loss whatsoever and I'm not sure if it was genetic, the biotin I was taking since Day 1 post-op, or the fact that I wa****ting my 60+ grams of protein since Day 1 post-op.

My hubby did try Nioxin for his thinning hair but it didn't seem to make any sort of difference.

I am 3.5 months post op, and my hair is falling out like crazy. I am only washing it 2xs a week now. When I brush my hair my hair brush is full. I am  constantly sweeping my bathroom floor. Hair is all over my sheets and clothes. This is sooo depressing. I hope this slows down soon, if it doesn't I won't have any left. I bought nioxin shampoo 2 weeks ago, and see no change. Hopefully it stops soon. I know what you are going  through and how you feel.
