red liquid

I just noticed within the last week or so that if I drink red kool aid or red Gatorade or red crystal light I get sick or a very upset stomach... has anyone else noticed this? is it what im drinking or the dye maybe?  BTW i'm 8 mo post op VSG

Sounds like you are sensitive to what ever they use in these drinks so stay away from "red" drinks unless they are natural foods.  Congratulations on your surgery and 8 months out!

I've heard that alot of people have a sensitivity to the food additive "Red# (insert#)". Maybe it is more pronounced after this surgery? Definitely ask your doctor!!

thanks. I will definitely try to avoid as much as possible the red coloring. just seems to be in almost everything.
