I am almost 4 weeks post-op and about 1 week ago I started having this burning sensation in my mid abdomen when I bend over.  The spot doesn't line up with any of my incisions and that is the only time it really happens.  Has anyone else had this and do you know what it is?  Is this something related to nerves being cut during surgery or something else?

I had 2 days of burning earlier in week and it was cleared up by Sulfameth/TMP antibiotic which cleared up a UTI.  Noted only when urinating, not directly near the stomach cavity.  FYI only.  Consult with your MD or their nurse.

I'd suggest calling your surgeon on Monday morning. This could be a spot where something particular was done internally (an incision, some stitches, etc.) and it's supposed to be sore, or it could be a symptom that something is wrong. You can probably speak to a nurse or PA over the phone, and decide if you should come in to be checked out, or if a "wait and see" approach will be best.

Thanks for the feedback.  I will call the surgeon's office on Monday.
