Ok guys,

                This summer will be my 10 year surgiversary. I am hoping to get back down to my goal. Now here's the kicker.. if I do get down close to my goal do I contact my surgeon?? I have since moved and haven't seen him in 10 years... BUT... here's the kicker..... I was his 10th sleeve. I am on the fence, not knowing if I should give him a call... I have the same insurance, just a different state..

Thanks =)

I would find someone local. A surgeon is a surgeon for the most part, just some better and some worse.

I'm not sure what you are asking, either. Are you just wanting to give him an attaboy? Sure, why not. If you need followup, you can do that with your PCP. You don't need a surgeon unless you have a surgical issue.

Why see the surgeon?  If there's no problem with the sleeve, then there's nothing a surgeon can offer.  You have a stomach that is smaller and all working parts are intact.  The work is really on you.

Are you asking if you don't get back down to your goal weight should you go back to your surgeon to see if there's an issue or to see what your options are? If that is the case, unfortunately I think its all dependent on you, your goals, and your lifestyle. I am sure your life has dramatically changed since the weight loss and you are in a different position now than you were then. I have regained roughly 10-15 pounds within three years, and I just went back to basics. My sleeve still works when I eat the eggs, chicken, dense protein first, and I listen to myself when im full...oh and of course, getting back to the gym always helps :).
