Hey guys my results came in from my upper gi and looks like since the lower part of my stomach wasnt cut its building pressure and causing acid reflux.  I also have this disease called achalasia its were your throat muscles dont work correct and have problems with eating.  So the doctor said he wants to fix my sleeve.  He uses the largest size buigi and he said hes going to be able to take out half my stomach atleast and its pretty simple since the large blood vessels are cut already.  Only thing have to worry about is leak from the staple line he says.  Im  230 now he said he wants me at 180lbs so he said 50lbs with a revision will be easy enouph.  I just dont want to look like some rny ppl who look like a skeleton.  He said on my body I dont have much fat but alot of muscle but he assures me I wont lose muscle mass but im not to sure about that.  I dont know im going to let his office get approval and if i decide to do it i will.  I dunno the pain from that surgery sucked and ive had 3plastics surgerys and vsg sucked way more

Good luck whatever your choice.

BTW......Now, would you please put on some clothes.  Don't think we need to see your bare chest on your avatar.  Fine to tell people to check out your photos to see your progress, but don't force feed us.    Thanks.

He can show his progress with his clothes on.  I'm not fat shaming him.  He has done a wonderful job with his weight loss.  It would be just as obvious if he were wearing a t-shirt.

Yes. I would get second and third opinions. From doctors who specialize in revisions.

6'3" tall, male.

Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.

M1 -24; M2 -21; M3 -19; M4 -21; M5 -13; M6 -21; M7 -10; M8 -16; M9 -10; M10 -8; M11 -6; M12 -5.

There's a very good chance you are still going to be plagued with acid issues after being resleeved. If it were me, I would opt for revision to RNY. It's your best chance to be gerd free.

Your chances of losing 50 pounds with ANY kind of revision are really remote. Really, really remote. Your doctor is way off there. You might lose 25, for a little while, but most of that will be from a month of extreme dieting right before and after surgery.

As someone *****vised because of acid reflux, I second everything Grim said.  Don't mess around with "fixing" a sleeve.  Go with conversion to RNY, it's your best bet to eliminating the GERD
