I need help. 8 years out, never got to goal weight but was happy at 72 kgs. Now sitting at 83 and no matter what i do i cannot lose it. I have an underactive thyroid, reflux, constant gurgling and burping. I need to know how to get my sleeve to work for me. Should i go back on liquids again? Should i take protein drinks? Has anybody had success with starting all over again?

Lotsaluff                    Thank you Lord for this incredible gift!! I love you!!!

No protein drinks. Dense protein and non-starchy vegetables and nothing else. Count calories, measure portions, track what you eat. Weigh daily. If you don't lose one pound a week, then cut calories by another 500 per day.

Ditto what White Dove said. Start tracking every single thing you put into your body using something like MyFitnessPal. Stick to dense proteins, they'll fill you up - shakes won't.

Also, please see your doctor about the reflux.

I too had gain and went back to the very basics in the beginning. I do 2-3 shakes a day and 2 small high protein meals. I keep calories 800-900, carbs under 50 (I do 30-35) and protein 80-100 grams. I have lost 60 lbs of regain since January 3rd.

I had success with going back on shakes! Since I'm not much of a breakfast person, I have a protein shake in the morning. Its helped me get back on track.
