Hi, new here... any help would be greatly appreciated!! Finished all my clearance appointment yesterday except my 4 month insurance required weigh in. They scheduled my 2nd surgeon appointment for Tuesday and said I should make my appointment for doctor clearance for surgery. Has anyone had luck scheduling surgery before u finish the required weigh ins?

My doctor's office doesn't schedule until the insurance approves it. But I WAS scheduled before my PCP gave the clearance ... my surgeon had to get on her butt about the paperwork since I had all the testing done at that point.

I'm sure it all depends on your insurance and the doctors involved :/

You will probably want to wait to schedule the surgery until you've got final approval from insurance and proof that it will be paid for. Many surgeons don't want to schedule unless they're 100% certain the patient will be going ahead with things; having to juggle the surgery schedule at the last minute is no good for anyone.
